For first-time viewers of this site, especially people generally new to
web browsing (you probably know who you are), I offer some tips:
  - If your browser supports JavaScript, turn it on. You don't
have to, but the navigation will be much more robust. Move
your mouse over each of the categories listed at the top, and you'll
see a list of the pages there just below. You can also click on
"Sitemap" at any time for a description of what's what and where.

- Ideal screen resolution (unless you're taking the text-only approach)
is 800x600. If you're still forced to use 640x480 resolution on a
normal PC monitor, it's time to spend $50 on a new video card.

- If the fonts seem annoyingly large (most sites do to me), try making
them a little smaller. If you're on Windows, the easiest way is to use
the "Control-[" and "Control-]" keys to go down and up one font size
at a time. (I'm sure this can be done on a Mac, too, but I don't know
      the keyboard shortcut.)

- If the menus are bugging you because of the real estate or time it's
taking to create them, you can click on "Hide Menu/Printer Friendly"
to make them go away temporarily (just not on this first page). Click
on the "Show Menu" link with which they're replaced to bring them
back. As the name suggests, that same option is ideal if you want to
make a hardcopy of a page (that benefit was pure luck).
